In Vacation Bible School at my local community church.Professionally I was a nanny for two families. One family I worked for had a 7month old girl and a 6yr old boy. The other family had one 6yr old girl and one 8yr old boy. I have also babysat for my friend whose son is a level 1 on the spectrum. And of course the family babysitter.

My friends son is a level 1 on the spectrum. I have babysat him since he was little. I love him so much and understand that each child has their own way of doing things. I am open to learning how to make their lives a little easier for them even if I have to go an extra mile. I also have had friends on the spectrum as well.

When you can see and feel the connection and bond that is created with the kids. Knowing they trust you and come to you for guidance or just for funzies. These are key moments they will carry with them throughout their lives. Creating fun memories for them to look back on is so important.
