More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up helping raise my younger cousins, which I enjoyed endlessly. I then worked directly with children in my 10 years at the Boys & Girls Clubs or Toledo where I worked as an Art Instructor, Educational Activities Center instructor, Program Director and then finally Club Director. After leaving that job to find something more flexible to accommodate grad school, I became a Program Manager at a non-profit that provides grief support groups for children ages 4-18.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am passionate about being outdoors! Running, playing and inventing new games brings me so much joy. I am also very creative and have a lot of experience in arts & crafts.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had sporadic contact with children who have special needs. I am currently assisting with a small "Emotion Identification" counseling group with special education students at a Junior High as part of my schooling experience
