I believe that having a genuine connection with the kid you are nannying is incredibly important. While also setting boundaries so that they respect you. As a stranger coming into their house you must also respect their boundaries to show them the same respect.

Helping the girl I nannied learn to read was a great experience. As someone who loves to read, being able to teach that to someone and watch them fall in love with it made me very happy and proud of her.
