The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the kids feel safe, happy, and cared for. It’s all about being someone they can trust and have fun with while helping parents feel at ease.

One of my favorite babysitting moments was when I made up a fun clean up game to help the kids tidy up after playtime. The playroom was full of toys, and the kids didn’t seem too excited to clean up. So, I turned it into a game called “Toy Race!”
Each child picked a color, and I challenged them to see how fast they could find and put away all the toys of that color. I cheered them on and timed each round. They had so much fun racing and laughing that they forgot they were cleaning! In the end, the room was spotless, and we all high fived for being a great team.
It was a simple idea, but it showed me how much kids respond to playful encouragement, and how important it is to make everyday tasks fun!
