A little bit about me

I am an older woman who has worked with all types of children all of my life starting at the age of 10 by teaching neighborhood children how to draw and paint. At the age of 15 I started babysitting jobs that continued while working on my undergraduate degree at UCLA. I also worked as a camp counselor teaching arts and crafts through my church as well as taking on a playground coach position at Toluca Lake Elementary School. In the late 1980’s, I entered a Secondary Ed program at CSUN to teach High School Social Studies, Senior Government, Economics and English. In 2009, I Founded a nonprofit where I continue to work with youth and adults through public educational outreach forums, events and craft workshops. Presently, I own my own company in property management, but love to give back to the community by helping parents with childcare. I am available part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and some Sundays to work between 3-5 hours;-) I indicated “Live In,” because I am willing to stay over on nights that I am needed. However, I do own my own property. I’m an active person who walks 3-5 miles a day (with my English Springer Spaniel and Border Collie) and cross train plus as a hobby I enjoy oil painting and working with other mixed media and photography. Basically, I love teaching and playing with children to give parents the breaks they need to feel whole;-)
