A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Diana. I graduated from California State University Fullerton and I majored in Child Development with an emphasis on early child development. I focused on learning about the younger children from ages 0 to 5. I decided to learn about the younger children because, during younger ages, a lot of growth goes on! Ages 0 to 5 kids are sponges, it's the most important years. They learn to walk, talk and understand how the world works. That's where I come in a care taker and teacher. I introduce new concepts and experiences by implementing fun activities in their everyday life. I personally love to introduce art in their activities. Most children gravitate toward art activites becasue it's full of color and fun! Anyways, I'm hoping I can meet you and your childen soon.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at the Children’s Center on California State University Fullerton campus for 1 year and half. I was a teacher assistant. I cared for children ages 1 to 3. I created activities for their learning development. Cared for their safety and cleanliness. I then worked at La Petite in Rialto as a Teacher. I cared for 2 year old children. I created lesson plans and activities for their growth and development.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art with children! It may get messy but that’s part of the learning process. Introducing different art materials to kids is so interesting and rewarding to see. Most children love to use there hands along with tools to paint and crate their own masterpieces. They navigate the world through their senses and touch is a major one. Providing different tools and textures during art activities allows to explore and understand how things work. It also allows to express their feelings and themselves in general. I also enjoy being outside with kids and showing them water play activities. Letting them run around and spend their energy on physical activity is an important aspect of their growth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of caring for children is keeping them safe. That is number one priority. Keeping the environment safe for them to play and explore. Teaching them about the world and in general is also important. Teaching them how to be independent and social skills are ones that are essential as they are growing up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most memorable moment as a teacher was seeing a child’s face light up when they’re so focused on an activity and figure something out. They get very excited and like to show what they know. A sweet and sour moment is when a particular child wants to specifically with you. It shows that the child built a bond with you and trusts you. It’s sour when you have to leave them or when they go home.
