I took a class my senior year of high school where I went over to the elementary school and helped a group of students that were struggling. I also helped translate a few times. I volunteered at a Sunday school near my hometown as well.

I enjoy parks, hiking, board games, soccer, baseball, softball, swimming and painting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny is keeping the child/children safe at all times and making sure that they feel safe around me. Of course having as much fun as possible too!
My experience with special needs children...
I've had previous experience working with special needs children. I worked as a paraprofessional (1 school yr) at West Liberty Schools. I often try to have enjoyable conversations with them to keep them excited throughout the day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I asked a child one day, if he could have any super power what would it be? And the child responded with "I wish I could have the power of Mother Nature so I can rain on my moms garden whenever her flowers need water." I just thought that was so sweet and caring. I never thought a child could think that deeply.
