The most important part about being a nanny...
First of all, safety. Then making sure that the children had fun, followed by using daily experiences to teach them the simple basics of appreciation, kindness and patience. I also taught the alphabet and adding and subtraction. (The children were bright and are now at the top of their classes.)

My first job as an RN was at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas, TX. We cared for many types of special needs children such as : neuro, seizures, cystic fibrosis, many syndromes, limb loss, Downs , etc.

Waking Zuri in the morning - she was aways so happy to see me. Coming to Sohani’s house and seeing her running to hug me. Dancing to The Beach Boys with Sohani. Watching Polar Express with Zane and Zuri with furniture pulled back and sitting on the floor with blankets and hot chocolate next to the Christmas tree.
