Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve volunteered with preschool and kindergarten classes and as a ministry leader for preschool through junior high aged children at many camps and Sunday school classes over the years. I worked as an unofficial babysitter for many families at my country club and I’ve been a stage manager for over 50 elementary children at once on multiple occasions. I also used to babysit my siblings when they were younger. So I’ve got plenty of experience working with kids :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing whatever the kids enjoy! Playing pretend is usually my favorite thing to do but I love board games, video games, playing with toys, really whatever peaks their interest in the moment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is influencing the children in a positive way. It’s so important for children to have good role models in their life that they can look up to and turn to if they need something. Bringing a nanny into your family is a big deal as is bringing anyone into your children’s lives. Making a child feel happy and safe are my top priorities in every situation.

Throughout elementary, junior high, and high school I regularly volunteered with the special needs classes.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was watching the two year old daughter of my youth leader and I brought out my laser pointer to play with the cat with her but she got super interested in it and it was fun making her think she was holding the light and putting it in different places. Honestly I just love watching children, they see the world so differently then we adults do and it’s just magical watching them experience life.
