More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked with families and students at a charter school.
I volunteered for almost 20 years at different church, mainly in the nursery but also as my son’s Sunday school teacher til he was 5.
I also taught children’s choir as a teenager and adult.
I was in leadership roles in the PTA/PLC for 10 years. I also was cub count camp program director for 2 years.
My son has Asperger and my granddaughter has special needs and live with me now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like doing board games and puzzles. I like to play on the ground with them. I love to read books. If they’re big enough, then I like to go to the playground or go swimming to expend their energy. If they’re not big enough. I love walking with them at the park or playing in the pool. I’m teaching my granddaughter to swim, dance and love outdoor concerts like me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is being patient and consistent. My son that whether it was good or bad, he could rely on me following through with whatever I said. Therefore I was careful to say things that I might not be able to deliver.
My experience with special needs children...
My son was diagnosed with Asperger's when he was 9th grade. My granddaughter who lives with me has special needs and seeing different kinds of therapists: physical, occupational, speech/feeding and early intervention.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I loved being the baby whisperer at my church. Parents trusted me to quiet their babies even when others were unsuccessful.
