I used to volunteer as the Sunday School Teacher's Assistant! I loved helping out all of the children. Some of the younger children did not like being away from their parents for the first time so when they'd run off, I'd go sit with them, whether that was in the play room or under tables, until they were comfortable enough with me to try going back to the group.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to provide structure and make kids laugh and smile. It truly makes my heart all warm to be able to make a child laugh and smile for the first time with me and know they are comfortable enough to be themselves!
