A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Belfast and I am an 19 year old Sophomore Acting Major at Texas State University, and I'm looking to take on a job nannying while taking my online classes in order to help cover my tuition and rent. I'm hoping to find a family that is willing to work with my class schedule, as it's not too demanding and I've nannied while in school before. I have been working in childcare for about 7 years now at various daycares, camps, and as a nanny. If you would like a few references I'd be more than happy to provide a few! I get COVID tested weekly, and would also be willing to take a drug test if required! I have lots of experience with infant care as well as I spent some time as a caregiver at Mommas House Inc, a home for new or expecting mothers who have been kicked out of their homes. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at various day camps, volunteered at daycares, and worked as a teaching assistant for my old elementary school. I also worked as a princess for hire in high school :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm extremely passionate about early childhood development. I like to instill positive values in all of my kids, no matter what the age, through all sorts of different activities. We read, we make our own stories, we do science experiments, we learn about the world together! And we engage in a variety of different physical activities together as well. Pre-pandemic I tried to make it a point to do a few "field trips" if parents were comfortable. It's been a bit more difficult since COVID but I'm hoping to get back to it soon!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part in being a nanny is understanding my role as I become a part of your family. Knowing where I'm needed most, and the best ways I can help both the kids and the mommies and daddies. It's a collaboration and an open dialogue is always necessary to be sure we're helping each other the best way we can.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with special needs children, traumatized foster children, and children with learning disabilities. I love them all just the same.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment comes every single morning, no matter what family I'm with, when the kids see me for the first time and come running to the door. It's the greatest feeling in the world, and makes all of the early mornings, late nights, runny noses, sticky fingers, and stinky diapers worth it :)
