I love any activity that stimulates the brain and brings me closer to the children I am working with. I am a psychology major and have taken many developmental psychology classes so I am very aware of how the minds of children work and how to create a nourishing environment for them to flourish in. I also love everything having to do with nature and creativity.

My experience with special needs children...

I am very familiar with special needs individuals of all ages. I grew up with a brother on the autism spectrum which gave me a lot of insight on what is needed to help these individuals lead happy, productive lives. I also have done volunteer work with special needs children at a summer camp (if you would like to know more about this, I am more than willing to share my experience.) During my time working in healthcare, I also worked in a group home with 3 special needs women.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments working with children would have to be the times I took them on hikes/nature walks (with their parents’ permission of course.) Children are naturally curious and seeing them be so curious about nature truly brought me joy.
