A little bit about me

I am 32 years old and grew up in Westerly Rhode Island. I have incredible parents that have been married 46 years and my sister and I are 9 years apart making her 23. I couldn't have asked for a better upbringing and life. I also have a total of almost 40 first cousins wick is absolutely insane. I love each and every single cousin and I have great aunts and uncles. I do volunteer work for a local fire department in the department of fire police. I love buying and learning about different plants and flowers although I'm not always so great at keeping them alive. Over the last 17 years I have been able to have the privilege of babysitting some of the funniest creative children who some are now in there 20s and are young adults. I look forward to continuing babysitting and enjoy this great opportunity.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started my babysitting family members from the age of 13. I have 22 cousins on my dad's side and 19 on my mother's. I am extremely blessed to have incredible parents and I have one sister who is 9 years younger than me so you can imagine I did a lot of babysitting her as well.
My first babysitting job was spring of 2008 and from there on I absolutely loved babysitting. I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Montana for a month long babysitting job for one of my mother's clients. In the last 15 years I have continued babysitting off and on in the state of Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy being outside as much a possible. I also found being able to find local events that are free in your nearby towns are a great way to get kids out of the house. Every child is different from another and being able to find out what they enjoy doing is very important.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that children are OUR FUTURE and I myself from personal experience believe you are molded by learning or example. I believe the way you are raised will result in a successful, happy and responsible future. I was so lucky to have amazing, loving and strict parents and that absolutely shaped the person I am today.
So what I'm saying is being able to have the privilege to be able to guide a child in the right direction is rewarding and I enjoy it very much.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience is very little when it comes to special needs children and babysitting them.

I have a work history in security office or working as a security guard and when I worked at Mitchell college the school was actually 40 percent learning disability mainly autistic ( autism). So I underwent training on how to handle certain situations that could trigger an episode or if the student is having difficulty communicating for themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would have to say when I was recently nannying 8 year old boy and I was the live in nanny for him and his mother ( we’ll call him Dill for privacy purposes) Dill and I were living in a great little neighborhood in mystic. So I had come home later in the day from a doctors appointment and Dylan was already at the house with his mother and I walked inside and I didn’t see him anywhere and all of a sudden I went into my room and the whole my whole room was redecorated with all of his Minecraft stuff and Lego stuff and he had programmed my TV onto his all of his shows. It was so funny. Basically Dill took over my whole room and was playing his PS5 on my tv haha. Let just say my room became a 8 year olds personal KIDS CAVE.
