I enjoy building and crafts! I am also familiar with most common children's shows (my favorite is Doc McStuffins). Snow Ball fights, snowman building, and snow forts are lots of fun in the winter; and tag and hide and seek (within a designated area) are great in the summer!

Understanding is a key part of being a nanny, be it understanding the children or the parents. Children often have needs that adults don't understand, and parents have so much on their plates that sometimes they just need a break or someone to help out for awhile.

My favorite moment was when I was watching 3 children (an infant and 2 toddlers). They decided to have a dance party, so we did! I held and bounced the baby girl while the other 2 danced crazily around the living room. It was a blast! Two years later, I saw the children again. The two older ones recognized me but the youngest didn't. But when someone started playing music, she let me pick her up and dance with her! Soon after she looked at me and said she remembered me with a huge smile on her face! It was a great feeling! I'm still friends with their family and see them on occasion, and now she recognizes me everytime.
