A little bit about me

Hello I'm Izzi. I am a 33-year-old woman who is looking for part time nanny work that will allow me to bring my own children (ages 3 and 6 months old) or allow me to bring the child/children I am caring for back to my home.
I am a trained medical assistant and caregiver with over 15 years' experience. I love to go out and go to museums and activities. I make everyday a fun learning day. I am also doing preschool with my 3-year-old so I would love to have any children join my kiddo in his learning journey.

In my nanny journey I have a special calling for kiddos with special needs and children who have been gifted with autism.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in people's homes as well as in my own home as a nanny. I have been live in as well. although that is not currently an option. I have volunteered with children over many years. I grew up in a large family with parents that often we not around thus leading me to need to provide care for my younger siblings. I have also taken in a few family members children when they could no longer care for them until they got back on their feet.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I take the children to as many new places as possible. we go exploring outside, to museums, and parks.
I take every opportunity I am given to teach the children something new each day.
I do my best to get them out of the house each day so that they can see the world and learn new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is helping the children become the best person they can be. guiding them towards the path that they choose.

My experience with special needs children...

I Have cared for children with autism, developmental delays, ADD, ODD, OCD, down syndrome and a few more. I have cared for children who are medically fragile.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite nanny moment was when working with the child, who had autism and speech disorders, call his mom mommy instead of maaa. it took months of practicing and therapies.
another one is when I got to watch a family who struggled to get along come together to support their child after advocating for their child for months.
