More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience with children stems back to when I was a child myself. I was responsible for raising and taking care of my younger brother. After that I was the neighborhood babysitter. During the summer time I would watch little Stephanie from 7 AM until 6 PM her parents got home. When I got older in high school, I was in a childcare program where I was able to use that as my high school credits. I took care of children from 0 to 12 years old daily Monday through Friday three hours a day. Not to mention all of the children in my neighborhood.I still get the kids in the neighborhood coming back to me remembering the good times we had together all the baking and singing. Also, I’m in the dental field. Part of my job is to assist the Dr’s with pediatric special-needs patients. My patience and understanding with young people, especially children is that you Must take time explain and just show love all the time. Children are special and I enjoy teaching and watching them learn and grow.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Oh wow tell us will go on and on. I enjoy teaching children how to feel confident and loved. Some of the things I really enjoy teaching the children our songs. I also enjoy teaching the children how to read, there’s nothing like. Seeing their eyes light up when they read the first sentence, or a book depending on the age. Another activity I enjoy doing with children is to dance I think it’s A lot of fun for them. Of course getting Children to learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors in, and most important, their name, address, and phone number if possible. I enjoy cooking with children. I think they like that a lot when they can help out especially if it’s treats. I basically like to keep the children happy whether we go outside and get some fresh air and run around or just watch some cartoons with them as long as they’re happy, that’s what I enjoy doing most for the children. Other activity, I also enjoy coloring and drawing while teaching them a little Spanish. Sincere, Thank You
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part to me about being a nanny is the child safety while in my care. I understand parents can be worried about leaving their child with a nanny so it’s very important to me to let them know and see that their child is well taken care of and loved. I also feel it’s important that the child is well taken care of and is always in a safe place and space. I think it’s important to make sure that the child is in your sight at all times that way there won’t be any accidents unnecessarily. I think it is very important to treat the child with respect and to try teach them what you can while you’re there. I think it’s important for children to get exercise get some fresh air eat healthy and be happy. I also feel it’s important that anything I do will leave an impression on him or her so I make an appoint to be the best role model for a child, no matter the age. I just feel it’s very important to take care of children as if they were your own
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children goes back to when I worked as a child care aide. There were several children who has down syndrome and some were mentally challenged. To me I didn’t see any difference between the children are considered normal. I believe that special children are extremely loving and caring and I would do it all again. I also had a childhood experience with my neighbor friend growing up he was mentally challenged. I used to help him ride his bike. I also helped him do a lot of things when everyone else was afraid of him.I think children or people in general with disabilities or special needs are very special. I learned at a young age that people are challenged deserve a chance and should be cherished. Those are my experiences so far in my life with children who are special And have special needs
The most important part about being a nanny...
This is easy. My special nanny moment or favorite nanny moment was when I babysat for a little girl every day in the summer when school is out. Every single day we watched the karate kid. When I say every single day I mean every single day. I would walk over to her house at around 6am and then her parents would leave to work and we would watch that all day long until her parents got home around 6 o’clock. Another favorite nanny moment or babysitting moment I should say, who is when I taught my neighbors toddler How to take her first steps. Her parents weren’t too happy but I was so excited we practiced and practiced all morning until she did it. That was awesome and I’ll never forget it. Those are a couple of favorite nanny moments or babysitting moments that I had there are many more but those stood out.
