Hi, I’m Elizabeth but I do go by Lizzie! One of my favorite jobs over the years has been anything that consists working with kids because they’re one of the easiest people to work with. I love seeing a little kid light up at the smallest things. as I’m going into my first year of college, I would love to make a little bit more money just to save. I love to read in my free time. My favorite movie genre is dystopian but I could also watch a romcom! I’d like to think my favorite color is blue but I love every color which I think little kids relate to as well because they’ll say that they love one color but in reality, they love all the colors until they really find out who they are! I grew up living with my grandma who did babysitting full-time so I grew up watching her handle kids with care so I’ve seen it firsthand how kids should be treated! I am so excited to start working with expanding families and family, who are just trying to get the hang of things! I’m always happy to help!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As I said in my get to know about me, I have cared for children anywhere from two months old to eight years old! but I’ve worked in retail, restaurant work, and lifeguarding so I have worked around kids all ages!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With kids, I enjoy going on walks around neighborhoods, going to parks and having small picnics. essentially anything outside where the kids can run wild and free without having to worry about them, bumping into something in the house. I do think being outside, expand their creativity and exposes them to nature and the outside world rather than keeping them cooped up in the house all day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is showing kids what a professional relationship can look like between parents and a family friend or a client. I also think it’s healthy for parents to have extremely good professionalism around their children is such an amazing example. kids who can see a professional relationship with someone their parents trust also creates them, knowing how to keep a professional relationship with someone who is taking care of them other than their parents. it also teaches kids to expand their support system and care system past their parents or immediate relatives. I think all of these are really healthy for kids to see growing up.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment is kind of an almost every day thing is when their parents drop them off and they’re not sad to leave their parents obviously they’re not happy but they are excited to see me and they ask what we’re gonna do today. What we’re having for lunch, breakfast or snacks!
