A little bit about me

My name is Ella DeFrance, and I am 23 years old and from Montana. I just moved to Eugene, and am looking for work. I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in English and a Dance Certificate from the University of Montana in Missoula.
I have been babysitting since I was a teenager, so I have years of experience with multiple ages. For the past 3 years I have been babysitting for the same family of 2 girls. My responsibilities include picking them up from school, making dinner and snacks, and getting them ready for bed. However, because I am moving to Eugene I am looking for a new family to babysit.
I have also been a volunteer for the past 2 years through Big Brother Big Sister, and have made a strong relationship with my little who is a 3rd grader.
I also have experience working as a substitute in the school districts, and have substituted for the Special Ed classrooms.
I love to dance, read, play guitar, paint and hike! I also love animals, and speak spanish.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have years of babysitting experience, as well as experience being a substitute teacher in a Special Ed classroom.
For the past 2 years I have also volunteered at Big Brothers Big Sisters at an elementary school.
I have also taught dance classes to children, as well as lead art activities, and helped with riding lessons at Horse Therapeutic riding in Missoula Montana.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love dancing, singing, playing guitar, art projects, hiking, animals, playing games, sports, and going outside.
Anything your kid has an interest in, and I will motivate them to continue!
One thing I do not like doing with kids is screen time, and I heavily encourage kids to play instead of screen time.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a substitute teacher for a week at Hellgate elementary school for a Special Ed teacher and Para. I loved working with these kids, and grew close with several of them. Towards the end of the week they would hug me when they saw me in the hall.
