Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a Counselor In Training for summer camp at my local YMCA. I was also a Counselor In Training training at Camp Cheerio. I have taken care of my younger sister who is now 15 and my 6 year old brother. I have babysat a toddler multiple times as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Watch tv, play with toys, read books, do puzzles, playing sports outside, taking them to the park or lake, going to the pool, going to cool places like museums and such
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me about being is a nanny is that: The children feel they are in a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment with me, and they can have memories that will last a lifetime. Of course making sure the kids grownups are at ease and have peace of mind knowing their children are happy, healthy, and safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I have helped care for my ADHD brother. I have interacted and hung out with special needs children not often. The CIT position at my YMCA had a camper with down syndrome and I loved the time I spent with her
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was singing along to the frozen soundtrack with one of my kids. Goofing around with my younger brother who just turned 6 as well.
