Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to my nannying and babysitting experience, I have worked extensively with children as a private swim instructor, private lifeguard, swim camp coach, and Christian church camp counselor. Through these roles, I have cared for and mentored children of all ages, helping them build confidence, develop new skills, stay active, and remain safe in a fun, supportive environment. As a Division I swimmer, I have also served as a positive role model for younger athletes, encouraging kindness, discipline, teamwork, and healthy habits. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with children, create a safe, engaging, and structured environment, and remain calm, patient, and dependable in any situation.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of my favorite things to do with children include arts and crafts, reading books, playing outdoors, going on walks, visiting parks and playgrounds, swimming and water play (when appropriate), baking simple treats together, building with blocks or Legos, imaginative play, sensory activities, music and dancing, educational games, and age-appropriate learning activities. I also enjoy helping with homework, encouraging good manners and independence, and creating a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is becoming a steady, positive presence in a child’s life. Children may not remember every game you played or every outing you planned, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel. My goal is to make every child feel safe, valued, encouraged, and genuinely loved while they’re in my care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with two families who have nonverbal autistic children. I taught private swim lessons tailored to each child’s individual needs and have also provided occasional babysitting for date nights. These experiences helped me develop patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt my communication and teaching style to best support each child. I understand the importance of creating a calm, structured, and encouraging environment where every child feels safe, understood, and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was spending 30 minutes searching the house for a toddler’s “missing dinosaur,” only to discover they had tucked it into the refrigerator because it was “too hot.” We both laughed, and the dinosaur has never needed to cool off since!
