More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Babysitting, Nannying, Lifeguarding, and 2 years as a certified nursing assistant at a pediatric office.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love swimming so pools and the beach are my absolute favorite, but I am happy with just about anything that is outside. For bad weather I have found plenty of fun crafts and games to squash boredom. I love doing bigger trips to the zoo or museums once in a while, but have found many ways to have fun for free locally. I am not picky and have fun when the kids are having fun but I am full of ideas to keep everyday exciting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. Almost all of my summers growing up were spent with nannies and I had the most fun with the ones that I thought of as friends. My goal is to form genuine connections with the children I watch and establish myself as someone they can have fun and feel comfortable around.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not babysat a child with special needs before, but I have worked with many in my nursing assistant job. I’m happy to work with children of all abilities and am committed to providing a patient, supportive, and positive environment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was helping the girl I nannied and her friend put together a lemonade stand from start to finish with signs, treats, and delicious lemonade. It was a pretty quiet day so I texted my friends and family who lived in the area to stop by and the girls had a blast. They were very proud of themselves when they were able to buy their own ice cream to celebrate their successful stand.
