Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been babysitting for 9 years, and was a full-time nanny for 1 year (2 boys ages 3 and 4). I have been working in orphan care for the past 2 years, and was a theater teacher for a homeschool co-op last school year. In orphan care, I work with all ages 0 to 18, and as a teacher, I had two 1st-3rd-grade classes and one middle school class.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside and getting creative! I am a participant in the activity, so you will catch me jumping on the trampoline, throwing the football, or playing with chalk on the sidewalk! I love coming up with games to keep kids active and learning while allowing their personalities to shine through. Dress up, dance parties, building a fort, you name it I'm down!
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience with special needs. In orphan care, we work with many different types of children. I also briefly babysat for a family with a child who has autism, and we got along great!
