I just recently left a position at the local hospital in Boise where I have worked with a wide variety of children, including those with disabilities or who need a higher level of care. Previously I spent 6 months caring for an infant while her parents worked full time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy involving the kids in cooking and baking as a way to encourage learning while disconnecting from technology. I think a big part of being a nanny is entertaining the child/children rather than just watching movies or staying inside all day.

The most important part of being a nanny is ensuring the safety of the child/children while still having fun. I love to laugh and mess around with kids just as much as the next person but I always make sure the children are safe and in good hands.

My experience with special needs children...

I frequently worked on the pediatric ward of the hospital as a CNA therefore I would interact with children who all have different needs, and developmental capacities, however I strive to treat them all with respect and kindness.
