I worked with a family taking care of a special needs girl in grade school for a year. I have also worked with many kids ages 6 months to 16 years during my time of teaching water safety at Louisville Rec Center. I worked as a CNA at Medical Center of the Rockies which has provided me with experience caring for people of all ages.

As well as building a strong, loving bond with the children creates the foundation for their emotional and intellectual growth.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with a grade school aged girl who was special needs. She had level 3 autism and suffered from Global Developmental Delay. I have also worked with many special needs adults in my time working in the medical field.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment by far has to be taking the special needs girl I was caring for to an accessible park for the first time. Her joy at being able to swing, spin on sensory equipment, and run around freely without the danger of eloping was life changing for both of us.
