I honestly think the most important part of being a nanny is building a real, trusting connection with the child. It’s more than just helping with snacks, homework, or getting through the daily routine. It’s about being someone they feel safe with. They need someone who listens, encourages them, and shows up consistently. When a child feels secure and cared for, everything else falls into place. They’re more confident, more willing to try new things, and more open about their feelings.
