Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Almost every job or volunteer role I've had the last 20 years has been with children. Before moving to Omro from Madison in June, I worked as a second grade teacher (long-term sub) and an English language learner teacher. Most recently I have subbed in the Omro School District in grades kindergarten through high school, including special education.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going on adventures that align with their interests. I also like to try and spark new interests by going to art or science museums and doing weather appropriate outdoor activities. I'm up for anything including swimming, parks, zoos, pet stores (just to look!), and hiking.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping the kids safe is definitely the most important to me. Next would be making sure their days are filled with wonder, learning, exercise and healthy food.
My experience with special needs children...
While I have never nannied for a special needs child, I have worked with them in various capacities as a teacher. My education background includes a masters in alternative education which focuses on children that are not necessarily diagnosed with something but need a little extra attention or stimulation to learn their best.

I most enjoy the little moments such as the smiles and giggles, or a sweet sleeping kiddo after a fun activity.
