A little bit about me

I'm a senior biology student at UNC Asheville planning to pursue a career in pediatric diagnostics. I love children and am very good at housekeeping tasks (cleaning, food prep, laundry, etc...). I enjoy art, baking, and am decent at playing make-believe. I love dogs (as long as they are well-behaved). I have experience working with children 3-10, however, I have no experience working with special needs children, children with behavioral issues, or children with severe medical issues. I am not comfortable working with these children due to my lack of experience. I have a car but I am not comfortable driving with children until I am comfortable with the family and the children.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience babysitting children from ages 3-10. I also participated in several projects with early education (preschool/kindergarten age) children as a member of FCCLA. In these projects, I taught students how to bake, while educating them about kitchen safety and health&wellness.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love art (coloring, drawing, ect...), going on walks, and trips to the park. I also like teaching children to cook and bake (ex. baking and frosting cookies). Most of my experience babysitting young children was spent coloring with them, baking with them, and playing at parks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The health and safety of the child. It is important for them to feel safe and cared for.

I have no experience with special needs children, because of this, I am not comfortable caring for these children.
