Hello! My name is Emily and I am 25 years old. I have been babysitting since I was 15 years old, and was a nanny for about 2 years. I have 5 years of tutoring experience for all ages. I have my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from UCR and am currently an optometry student. I am looking for occasional weekend work for couples looking to go on date nights or one-time fill-ins. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 7 years of experience with multiple families. My longest experience is ~5 years with a family of 4 (triplet boys, and 1 girl).
I have worked with family's with 1 child to families with 5 children. The most children I've watched at a time was 6 so I consider myself a great multi-tasker.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time indoors/outdoors. I love helping children be creative (drawing, painting, crafts, etc.). I also love helping with outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, rollerskating, etc.)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building long-lasting relationships and leaving an impact. I am the youngest in my family (youngest sibling, youngest cousin, etc.) so I never got to be a big sister. Through my babysitting/nanny jobs I have been able to connect and grow a sister-type bond with many of my kids. I still remember my babysitter from when I was a kid even though she only had come a few times. I remember her kindness and patience, and I absolutely loved her. Knowing I can be leaving a lasting impact on people is what drives me to do the best I can while working.

My experience with special needs children...

I was in a program in middle school and high school called Best Buddies where I interacted with and befriended many of the special needs students. One of whom I am still very close with until this day!

The most important part about being a nanny...

After a long day, I was putting the children to bed and had just said good night. As I was walking out one of them asked for a hug. Everyone got out of bed and we all had a group hug because they knew I would be gone when they woke up in the morning.
