I was a nanny for a child with Spina Bifida rom age 1-8. I learned his physical therapy routine, alarming signs, correct care for his hygiene. I was with him from the time that he learned to scoot on his belly until he got his first wheelchair.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A sweet and memorable moment that I had was recently. I was watching this little boy who was about 6. He had just woken up from a nap and I asked him what he wanted to do and he politely answered "I would like 5 minutes to wake up if that is ok." and I had so much respect for him! I loved that he communicated what he wanted without hesitation.
