I have a degree in nursing with my CPR and First certificates. During the school year I work as an assistant teacher in a Montessori classroom with ages 3 to 6. I have nannied and baby sat for a number of families throughout high school and college.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outside and think that it is a crucial part in child development! I enjoy hiking, going on walks, spending time in the park, kayaking and so much more! I also love creating crafts and sensory experiences for the children that I am taking care of! I also enjoy reading and spending time baking.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any present background working with special needs children, however, I do have background working with special needs adults! The needs varied from down syndrome to intellectual disabilities. This also included working with adults with physical disabilities including spina bifida, cerebral palsy and more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite memories are made right in the backyard with previous families! I loved getting to spend time exploring the backyard and searching for different treasures that were found! Another fond memory is getting to wind down for nap times and singing and reading books with the children!
