Last summer I worked in a school through the SYEP program and I worked with kids of all age ranges. I would look after them and attended to their needs to the best of my ability. I also helped many close friends and family with taking care of their children so that they could get some errands done.

I like to do activities depending on what the children I look after are interested in such as playing board games, taking them to the park, drawing, dancing to music, etc.

What matters to me most is the well being of the child I am looking after. Others would ignore the kids needs but I don’t work like that. If the child is in need anything, I do what I can to attend their needs. If the child is in distress, I do what I can to calm the child down.

My favorite moment when taking care of a kid is when they get happy to see me come back because it makes me feel like I am really connecting with them and that I am getting to know them better and that I’m am really getting my job done.
