A little bit about me

Hi - my name is Emma.

I have been around childcare my whole life. As a child my mother had a day care center out of our home, which I learned to care for children. I started babysitting at age 13. In my twenties I have cared for a variety of families, from newborns to teenagers. I have been a variety of challenging situations.

One of my strongest qualities is I am very emotionally regulated and can keep calm in difficult situations, to ensure the children feel safe and secure. I am well versed in family systems and human needs.

I do this work because I truly love kids and know the importance of their experiences as they grow. I am hyper aware of environments and how they impact children's development, and always work towards providing the most supportive and nourishing space. I think the main things children need are to feel secure, consistency, and space to play and explore.
