Growing up, I started babysitting for families in my neighborhood, which taught me a lot about responsibility and the importance of fostering trust/connection. I also volunteered for several summers at my overnight camp, where I helped younger campers adjust to new environments, stay organized, and have fun while sticking to routines.
In addition, I’ve learned a lot through my mom’s work in trauma-informed care for children with autism and behavioral challenges. While I wasn’t working directly with her clients, being around that environment helped shape my understanding of how to support kids with empathy, flexibility, and respect for their unique needs.
