My names Emma, I am 25 years old, I graduated back in 2021 with my Bachelors in Integrated Studies with an emphasis in business and photography, which are still my present day passions. I have held my own small business since my senior year of high school and now run multiple, via online as well as remotely. I have been watching kids since I was in 6th grade holding roles and responsibilities of leading, teaching and taking care of children through age ranges of infants to middle/ high school ages. I consider myself a jack of all trades, in college I held at one time 6 jobs, just trying to make ends meet and save up as much as I could towards student debt. Within those roles, I was a housekeeper for multiple families, I would meal plan and prep, as well as being a tutor across multiple subjects for multiple families at once. In total I have 8 years of experience in tutoring. I have also worked with children and adults facing challenges of ADHD, Autism as well as ESL students.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a weekly leader in programs for children through my church back home, I worked in high school ministry for seven years as well having been a tutor for that duration and longer. I began working with children from infant and elementary and holding roles of leadership since sixth grade.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a very creative person and have been since I was a little girl and enjoy doing activities with the kids that involves the ability to channel their inner creativity whether through imaginative games and play time to arts and crafts! I am also very active and enjoy sharing that passion with the kids by going on walks or enjoying the outdoors on nice warm, sunny days.

The most important part about being a nanny...

You have this wonderful opportunity to make an impression on kids, to be a role model, someone they can look up to, as well as guide them with gentleness and love. Making a positive impression/impact on a childs life at a young age truly carries with them into their teenage/young adult years. I still remember all the people in my life whether babysitters or leaders that took the time to get to know me, make me feel seen and cared for! I want to be able to do that for others!!

My experience with special needs children...

I grew up with a brother who has Autism, so for all my life I have had that first hand experience with how communication and interaction can be different and learning to meet him in his areas of need or understanding. As well as since sixth grade have worked with kids facing, but not limited to, Down syndrome, ADHD, Behavioral Challenges, and Anxiety.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love working with little ones and how innocent their ways of thinking are. I have had them ask me countless questions, sometime embarrassing because of the setting we were in, but keep a log on my phone of the little moments to look back later on and truly make me smile. The best feeling too is whenever I would go on vacation and come back how excited they were to see me again and hearing them catch me up on what happened and what I had missed, such sweet memories.
