The most important part about being a babysitter to me is to be a figure the children will have so much fun with, they ask to send me over to help when their parents make plans. I also think it’s important to truly engage with the kids, and if possible, let their imagination flourish through either games or any other activities!

My favorite babysitting moment was when I was babysitting for a regular client that had 3 children, and I asked them if they felt like a popcorn+movie night (to which they all loved), and the eldest (10) made sure I had a spot right next to him, and that he shared his blanket with me. Shortly after, the youngest (5), rested her head on my leg and fell asleep there all cozied up under the blanket with us🥹.
