More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I'm excited to apply for your babysitting position. I have several years of experience caring for children through personal babysitting for friends and family, as well as volunteering with my church’s youth ministry, where I assisted with nursery care, youth events, and overnight programs.
I’ve also supported college-age individuals with intellectual disabilities through the University Participant Program at Western Carolina University, and I currently work as an in-home healthcare aide with three years of experience providing compassionate, reliable care.
I’m confident that my background in caregiving, my patience, and my passion for working with children make me a strong fit for your family. I’d love the opportunity to speak further.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating fun and engaging arts and crafts projects for kids and even making up games to keep them entertained. I strive to minimize screen time by encouraging interactive and imaginative play. When the weather allows, I love spending time outdoors with children, but I also have a great collection of indoor games and activities to keep them active and happy no matter the forecast.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly, I love being a nanny because it allows me to connect with different families and build meaningful relationships with their children. One of my favorite parts of the job is experiencing a bit of a second childhood—playing, laughing, and seeing the world through a child’s eyes. Bringing joy to kids and creating a fun, safe environment for them is truly what makes this work so rewarding for me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience working with individuals with special needs across various settings. I’ve been caring for a close family friend’s nonverbal child with special needs since he was six months old, providing consistent and compassionate care. During college, I volunteered with a special needs program that supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), I’ve provided in-home care for several adult clients with special needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. My academic background also supports this work—I minored in Special Education, which has deepened my understanding and skill set in the field.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Gastonia, NC: Abby H.
I am currently an undergraduate student at Gardner-Webb University studying psychology, and I hope to one day work with children in a counseling setting. The Lord has placed a passion for caring for children on my heart, and I have worked as a daycare teacher and as-needed babysitter for the past two years. I love children and enjoy their creativity, personalities, and the opportunity to encourage and care for them.
I was CPR certified when I began working as a daycare teacher, and my experience has helped me develop patience, responsibility, communication, and strong caregiving skills. I also love arts and crafts and enjoy planning fun and creative activities for kids.
My faith is an important part of who I am. I am a Christian who loves the Lord and strives to reflect Jesus in the way I care for others. Nice to meet you!
