A little bit about me

Currently I am working at BRCC as a college Instructor. I am a mother of 2 and I a stepmother of four all of which are adults with children of their own now. I’ve worked in daycares in my twenties. I love the littles. I have the patience for the little children bring me joy. I’d rather hang out with them than grownups. I’ve always gravitated towards babies since I was a child. They are the best. I am CPR, AED and First Aid certified. In addition, I am Fire Fighter, HAZMAT and Emergency responder trained through my last career. I believe children need consistency and to be treated like a little human. Because kids are people too.

I am now an instructor at BRCC. I’ve worked in daycares; I’ve raised many children mine and stepchildren whom I love the same. In addition, I have grandchildren. I am consistent and I do not “tune” them out. I love kids. They are awesome and deserve understanding.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Making them smile. Going to the park. Enjoying art projects. Playing games. Learning activities. Reading books. Riding bikes. Spray parks. Positive reinforcement for good behavior. All kids are different. They need to be treated as individuals.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Treating the baby as if he/she was your own baby. Love the baby (how could u not)? My stepchildren had the same treatment, and I love them as my own. They are all grown now and we are still spending time and holidays together because they will always be my babies.

My experience with special needs children...

My nephew is autistic and also a good friend of mine has an autistic son. Another friend has a daughter with cerebral palsy, and I watched her from time to time. She is so sweet and funny.
