My experience with special needs children...
I had an identical twin sister with specials needs. She passed when we were 28.
I have cared for children with special needs in homes, schools and residential facilities. I have worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with girls that were Human Trafficked. I have taught inMontessori schools, public schools and private schools. I have worked at Head Start with 16 children ages 3-6 with Autism, Down syndrome, homelessness, drug addiction/abuse in homes, parents in prison and other traumas. I have taught in deaf schools and interpreted for preschool / high school. I have taught in a classroom of Jr high and High School students with special needs as have worked at 2 residential facilities for adults with special needs.
