I worked at IDS and UCP with children and teens with special needs. This was anything from line therapy to bringing the kids to events.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be active. So I try to get the kids I care for into being outside! I love to go on hikes with the kids I care for. To get them to love physical activities young is so important. I also love to draw and paint. So I try to get the artistic spark going for them too! I love to cook and want kids to know how to help out in the kitchen and eventually, make meals!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping parents raise amazing kids. Making sure kids choose kindness, explore their interests, care for others, and that they want to make the world a better place. We need all the kindness this world can offer, and it starts with kids! Also, getting kids into STEM, because as Bill Nye said “science rules!”.

The most important part about being a nanny...
There are a lot! Mainly when kids start to get a sense of humor. The funny jokes or sarcasm. One of my littles had a fish tank. I noticed one of the sucker fish was missing. I asked her what had happened. She was wearing a penguin hat, wielding a light saber, and glared at me. With the most serious tone she said “I dunno…he was poking around”. Okay mini mobster! It made me laugh so hard.
