My experience with special needs children...
My younger brother, who is 2 years old, has autism, and caring for him has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Through this experience, I’ve learned the importance of patience, understanding, and adapting to his unique needs and way of communicating. I take immense pride in supporting him through everyday challenges, celebrating his milestones, and creating a nurturing environment where he feels safe, loved, and valued.
Being his sister has taught me how to connect on a deeper level, respond to non-verbal cues, and approach situations with empathy and kindness. It’s a bond that has not only shaped my perspective on caregiving but has also deepened my passion for working with children, especially those with special needs. I carry this love, care, and understanding into all aspects of my childcare experience, ensuring that every child I care for feels supported and appreciated for who they are.
