A little bit about me

My name is Esmeralda. I have a bachelors degree in Child Development with 6 years of professional experience with children within the ages of infancy to adolescence. My experience with various demographics has helped me nurture my ability to adapt and create a teaching style that is individualized towards how the child learns. I spent 3 years as a preschool teacher and by the time each child left our facility to attend Kindergarten, they knew their alphabet, their sounds, their colors, they were able to count to at least 50, and they were able to write their name. I spent 1 year as an intern at 2 elementary schools and 2 years as an after school instructor for San Juan School District. Any student who fell behind in a particular subject, was able to catch up through the tutoring sessions held after school during “Homework Time” and I ensure the subject is taught in a fun way to make learning and homework as painless as possible.
