- I babysat for a church smallgroup for two years in high school where I (along with one other sitter) cared for twelve other children for about two hours each week.
- I babysat for another church small group under the same circumstance, but we watched eleven children each week.
- I tutored a six-year-old and an eleven-year-old in various subjects.
- I have volunteered for VBS at my church where I am responsible for five to ten six-year-olds for three hours each day.
- I have participated in mission trips (to Yemassee, SC, Atlanta, Georgia, Ancorage AK, and Pueblo Viejo, Mexico) where I cared for and spent time with children. In Mexico, I taught English in the elementary school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outside, playing sports and games, coloring, building things, and reading books!
The most important part about being a nanny...
It's nice to nanny for well-behaved children and to get a decent paycheck, but the best part about nannying to me is that I get the chance to help children grow. I want to help them grow in imagination, knowledge, responsibility, and relationship skills.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have extensive experience with children who have special needs but am very comfortable caring for and spending time with them. I am also always happy to learn more :)
In high school, I babysat as needed for one child who had Autism. He was four when I first began, and seven the last time I watched him.
Also in high school, I was involved in Partners club: A club where I spent time and helped out with students with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I don't know if this is my favorite, but I do love this one :)
I was nannying for a three-year-old (her baby sister had already gone to bed), and I had been trying for weeks to convince her that cleaning was the funnest game out there. At first she wasn't buying it, but slowly but surely she had begun to have more and more fun as we sang songs and laughed while we picked up toys. This particular night, she fully bought in and was giggling and having fun as we put toys where they belonged. When we finished, she lifted up her arms and said "weeeee did it!!!!!" I have many fond memories with this little girl and many others, but this was a happy and proud moment :)

Hi! My name is Savanna and I am currently enrolled at UTC as a Social Work Major! I've always had a passion to work with children, which is part of the reason I chose Social Work! My youngest sibling is currently 3 years old and I watch her pretty often as my mom works full time. I have experience with newborns to teens. I can provide my own transportation and being on time is very important to me! I love making crafts, helping with homework, and animals! With my experience and interests, I'm proud to provide a safe and fun environment for your little kiddos!
