A little bit about me

Yrs ago a car ran a stop sign and hit my vehicle. I was injured and was forced to retire early. However, I needed to remain active for physical reasons and since I am a mom and recalled how active my children were, I became a nanny. My kiddos and I played games, read books, worked puzzles, and enjoyed fun activities at home, drove and oftentimes walked to parks, drove to the zoo and walked around. Anything safe., fun, active while learning at the same time.I am a self-published author of a book of poetry and a graduate from Toastmasters International and won best speaker awards in every category multiple times. However, watching and slightly assisting a "little person" take his/her first step is more rewarding to me than any personal accomplishment. Although I might have assisted, they only know that their first step was successful although it was only one step and a fall. Before long, they are standing and preparing for the next step.. Unknowingly, they are teaching me.
