A little bit about me

I am a Maine State Certified Teacher. I have run my own program for preschool age children with autism. I have been working with children on and off the spectrum most of my life. Beginning with a work-study program in high school, I worked in as many different programs as possible to hone in on programs that offered the most effective and respectful ways of helping children. I have visited programs for children with autism in Kenya, have been a school counselor in the foothills of the Himalayas, and was vice-president for an international children's rights organization in Vienna. In addition, I have raised three beautiful children of my own. My philosophy for child care is based on the works of Emmi Pikler MD, Gordon Neufeld PhD, and Stanley Greenspan MD.
