We learned a new bible verse every day, sang the gospel, watched movies, and for the younger children I still read them a bible story and provided them with snacks, hugs, and comfort.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Creating an environment where the child(s) and family feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I want to create a home full or creative energy and diversity.
My experience with special needs children...
My older sister had epilepsy, she passed away a few years. My entire life consisted of learning what to do at any moment of the day while she had a seizures. To discover all the creative outlooks children with special needs have, whether it is music, baking cookies, painting, or pretending to be pirates... you have to be patient, loving, thoughtful, energetic, and a kid at heart.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Walter Garcia is a 9 year old boy I took care of since he age of 5. He was on a special diet because he was underweight. His mother would pack him a lunch box, but was almost always empty. One day after picking Waltercito up she commented on his progress and asked me what he had ate that day. I responded with ¨Cereal for breakfast, arroz con pollo for lunch, some green grapes after his nap, and a hot dog for dinner¨ She continued asking me why I didn´t feed him the food she packed. I was confused and asked what food she packed. The following morning while I was playing catch with Walter I asked where all the food went. He said, ¨I don’t like it.¨ After this I realized I had to talk to his mom about his needs for his diet and after all of this he made it to healthy regular weight.

Babysitter Available in Staten Island, NY: Alexis M.
I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel supported in a safe, nurturing environment. Building meaningful relationships with children and their families is incredibly rewarding, and I love being part of their everyday lives as they reach new milestones, develop confidence, and discover their unique personalities. My goal is to create a positive, structured, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
I have over 10 years of childcare experience working with infants, toddlers, school-aged children, and children with disabilities. In addition to nannying, I currently work as a New York City Department of Education paraprofessional, where I support students in the classroom and provide individualized assistance. I also work as a Behavioral Technician providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
