One of my favorite moments was when a little boy I cared for insisted on teaching me how to do a craft he had just learned at school. He was so proud to be the teacher for once, and I loved watching how seriously he took the role. We ended up making a whole table full of paper animals together. It was such a sweet reminder of how much joy and confidence kids feel when we let them take the lead sometimes.
