A little bit about me

Hi I am Frances! I am from Fairhope, AL and graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2025 where i was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. I moved to New Orleans in September and have been looking to start a nannying gig! I have been babysitting since I was 14, a role that has always brought me a sense of fulfillment. I build meaningful relationships with both children and parents, and I take pride in being someone families can trust and rely on. Growing up, I regularly babysat and nannied for the same families, which allowed me to form long-term bonds and gain consistent, hands-on experience. I also worked four days a week for a year at First United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa, primarily caring for 1–2-year-olds, while also substituting for infants through age five. Additionally, I lived for two months with a family friend who had a one-year-old and a two-year-old, giving me valuable experience with daily routines, developmental milestones, and hands-on toddler care.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive childcare experience that began at a young age and has continued to grow over the years. I started babysitting and nannying for the same families when I was 14, which allowed me to build strong, long-term relationships with both parents and children while gaining a deep understanding of children’s routines, developmental milestones, and individual needs. As I grew older, my responsibilities increased, including preparing meals, managing daily schedules, helping with homework, and providing a safe, nurturing environment. In addition to private childcare, I worked at a preschool primarily with 1–2-year-olds, where I supported early learning, social-emotional development, and daily care routines. I also gained experience substituting in classrooms with infants through 5-year-olds, which strengthened my ability to adapt to different age groups, classroom dynamics, and developmental stages.

Taliyaha W. - Seeking Work in New Orleans

Babysitter Available in New Orleans, LA: Taliyaha W.

I’ve been working with kids since I was about 10 years old through my church, caring for children of all ages up until I was 16. That experience taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and being attentive to different personalities and needs. I helped with everything from keeping younger kids entertained and safe to assisting older kids with activities and routines.
Being around kids so much helped me develop strong communication skills and a calm, positive approach, even in stressful situations. It also taught me how to be dependable and trustworthy, since parents and leaders relied on me to help create a safe and supportive environment. Overall, it’s something that really shaped my ability to care for others, which also connects to why I’m pursuing nursing now.

Hi, my name is Tiondra Harris. I am 20 years old and currently enrolled in university(online). While my dream is to become a veterinarian, I do hold a spot for youth in my heart. I was raised that there are three things that are the most defenseless in this world that need to be looked for: animals, children, and the elderly!

While I do not have any paid experience with babysitting at the moment, I do have experience with my own personal family. I have a niece that was born premature and is going to be 6 months soon, and I have been along for the ride ever since helping to take care of her. While in college, I have also taken two psychology course, one in general psychology, the other in developmental psychology.
