My experience with special needs children includes my training and certification in Special Education, along with hands-on work supporting diverse learners in classroom settings. As an assistant teacher and reading tutor, I provided tier 2 and tier 3 interventions, differentiated instruction, and individualized support for students with a range of learning and behavioral needs. I also focused on building strong relationships, supporting social-emotional development, and using positive behavior strategies to help children feel successful and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was helping a child who had been struggling with reading finally gain confidence in their abilities. We turned reading into a fun, low-pressure part of our daily routine—using games, storytelling, and lots of encouragement—and over time, I watched them go from feeling frustrated to proudly wanting to read out loud. Seeing that shift in confidence and excitement was incredibly rewarding and reminded me how powerful patience, consistency, and a supportive environment can be.
