I’m a mother of one beautiful daughter who is 3 years old. She’s definitely my motivation and light to keep growing in all aspects. I have a strong heart for children. Also, my brother has Austism and I’ve assisted with his care since he was about 5-12 years old. Professionally, I am a certified Phlebotomist, so I have knowledge in medical terminology, CPR/FirstAid and am willing to be certified in either if that is the preference (also plan to get certified this year). I like to be a kid sometimes and do crafts, ride bikes, enjoy some educational music with kids, etc. Peace is vital so I also believe in meditation exercises and mindfulness. I love to make me and my daughter nutritious meals that we both enjoy! Fun note, I also love to make an activity out of cooking! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

*Volunteered to help at a local church and assist in watching the children while their families and parents took a bible study group or attended a mass.
*My nieces and nephews from 2 of my sisters. Ever since they were a couple months into this world, I took care of them until they were approximately 7 years old. This included bottle, baby food & normal meal feedings, meal prep, diaper duty, play time and bed time duties.
*my daughter was born in 2021 and is now 3 years old. I’ve been a mother since 22 years old. I’ve bottle fed her, taken her to drs appointments, dealt with formula change, sleepless night and days full of screaming and crying. That’s what you do as a mother for your children. And it’s so beautiful.

Last but not least, I also took care of a wonderful lady’s son for over 4 years. Again, this included meals, getting ready for school, activities, helping with homework, etc…

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Soccer, coloring, hand painting, pavement chalk, assisting little ones with sensory toys, dress up, dancing to music, snow angels (if appropriate and okay with parents), other winter activities, park time, bike riding, cooking, and many more!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that I make sure the parents feel comfortable and I meet they’re needs for they’re child. As a mother, I know the level of importance that entails. Also, being punctual, communication, and understanding the child/children’s daily routine.

My experience with special needs children...

My brother is now 22 years old and since 4 years old my parents found out he was on the high end of the spectrum of Autism. I’ve gained knowledge & consideration in dealing with his needs. As a younger child, he would run away without parental supervision, he expressed his feelings in an unhealthy way as a little boy, still has difficulties with his speech but made lots of improvement, makes body movements that can be involuntary to help deal with his anxiety or even when he’s excited. He’s one of the smartest people I know!

The most important part about being a nanny...

When my nephew was only <9 months young and projectile vomited while I was holding him and feeding him. This is my favorite moment because that was one the first times I was calm and able to deal with a tense or heightened situation at such a young age.
When my nieces loved to dance to music and we would pretend as if we’re were partying in my parents bedroom as kids.
